About the Role
The Project Management team is responsible for coordinating project deliverables, financials, and communications, managing client projects and teams with professionalism and integrity. This role oversees all aspects of assigned projects and large-scale programs, which may include new product launches, portfolio migrations, marketing, sales, finance, business operations, or customer service. It involves extensive interaction with cross-functional teams, including technical delivery teams and executive stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates all aspects of projects from initiation through delivery.
- Manages project initiation activities, including identifying contractual obligations, client needs, and goals.
- Ensures internal project requirements align with operational standards, documenting exceptions as needed.
- Develops and executes project plans, scope, activities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Identifies needed resources and defines major project roles.
- Coordinates tasks among team members, internal departments, and external organizations to meet project goals.
- Assigns and monitors project team work, providing analytical support and direction.
- Manages project risks, issues, and progress to ensure goals are met.
- May manage the integration of vendor/subcontractor tasks and track deliverables.
- Serves as a liaison between internal and external organizations to meet project targets.
- Delivers presentations to business groups.
- Conducts project closure activities, including acceptance, handover, and post-implementation reviews.
- May directly oversee employees assigned to specific projects.
- Identifies and recommends solutions for project management coordination gaps.
- Some travel may be required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, management, computer science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines (e.g., PMBOK).
- Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines.
- Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Excellent negotiation, analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills.
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, project management, and time-keeping software (e.g., MS Project, MS Office, Visio, Salesforce, ClickTime, Workday, and SharePoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and carry out sensitive assignments.
- Knowledge or experience in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of Worldpay products and services.
- Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry (e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma).
