About the Role
This is a long-term rota nanny position for a warm, loyal family in Notting Hill. The role involves a 1 week on/1 week off, 24/7 schedule, with live-in accommodation during working weeks. The family has two school-aged daughters and pets, and requires a nanny who is loving, calm, and fully engaged. The role includes light household tasks, errands, dog walking, and meal preparation, with a genuine 'muck-in' attitude appreciated. The family travels during school holidays, offering additional time off for the nanny.
Responsibilities
- Support the smooth running of the household during school hours
- Perform light organizational tasks
- Run errands
- Walk the dogs
- Tidy and maintain children’s areas
- Prepare nutritious meals for the girls
- Ensure uniforms, school bags, and weekly logistics are always ready
- Muck-in attitude where needed
- Occasional proxy parenting
- Join the family for travel during school holidays (Christmas, Easter, summer) with potential temporary rota changes
- Keep home environment tidy and clean
- Perform household related jobs and errands while children are at school
Requirements
- Demonstrate longevity in recent roles (minimum 2-3 years per family)
- Previous experience traveling with a nanny family
- Comfortable with family's 2 dogs and cat
- Experience with children aged 6-9 years
- Considerable experience in sole charge of 2 young children and shared care
- Proxy parenting experience is very useful
- Must live within a short commute of London
- Up-to-date Enhanced DBS and be on the DBS update service
- Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate (within 3 years)
- Right to work in the UK
- Full passport for international travel
- Good references for recent and relevant nanny work with long-lasting jobs
- Able to run after young children
- Available long-term
