About the Role

Block by Block is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee the Ambassador Team, enhancing community friendliness, cleanliness, and safety to increase livability and revenue.

Responsibilities

Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Ambassadors.
Create a positive team culture.
Adjust resource deployment based on changing needs.
Identify and solve problems to improve program quality.
Purchase and manage inventory of supplies and equipment.
Report outcomes using various channels including spreadsheets and timekeeping systems.
Act as a hands-on working manager providing field coaching, mentoring, and training.
Lead the team during event seasons.

Requirements

Valid NY Driver's License.
Schedule flexibility is required.
Ability to work site operations between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm.
Schedule provided 3 weeks in advance.
Must maintain a positive, professional environment in compliance with laws and standards.
Must have the physical capacity to walk continuously during an eight-hour shift with breaks.
Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
Must be able to speak, read, and write English to create basic reports.
Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office products.
Solid work history with at least 5 years with previous employers.
Previous experience supervising teams.
Enjoy working outside in all weather conditions.
Be a problem solver and innovator.
Understand Quality Assurance and exceeding client and Ambassador expectations.
Possess a 'a little dirt never hurt anybody' mindset.
Ability to manage people and work in a team setting.
Possess a 'do what is right' mindset with integrity.
