About the Role
We are seeking a Product Manager to oversee product work streams for PIVOTAL and THE OUT, enhancing customer and colleague experiences through effective technology, data, and process design. The initial focus will be on the customer technology ecosystem, including Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, covering areas like account management, contract lifecycle, case management, and customer communications. As priorities shift, the role may extend to other products and capabilities within both businesses.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the roadmap and backlog for agreed product domains, aligning priorities with the Product and Technology strategy and business priorities.
- Lead product discovery using customer journey, process, and data analysis to define problems, test assumptions, and validate opportunities.
- Define clear product outcomes, success measures, and requirements, using evidence to prioritize initiatives.
- Lead the cross-functional delivery and adoption of products and enhancements, managing scope, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Monitor and optimize products post-release using adoption, performance, and customer insight to assess impact and identify improvements.
- Represent customer and colleague needs while balancing business value, operational efficiency, technical considerations, and platform sustainability.
- Develop a strong understanding of platforms within product domains, including Salesforce and relevant data, workflows, and integrations.
- Ensure regulatory, data-protection, security, accessibility, and AI-governance requirements are considered throughout discovery and delivery.
- Evaluate responsible opportunities for AI, automation, and emerging technology to improve productivity and customer outcomes.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in Product Management, product ownership, business analysis, service design, technology delivery, or a related role.
- Evidence of the capability to take ownership of a product domain.
- Experience contributing to the discovery, delivery, and improvement of customer-facing products, internal tools, services, or operational capabilities.
- Practical experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or a comparable CRM platform is strongly preferred.
- Experience working across CRM, customer service, sales, or related customer technology and translating stakeholder needs into prioritized product requirements would be advantageous.
- Experience using customer feedback, operational insight, and quantitative data to assess problems, define success, and evaluate product impact.
- Experience working with development teams in an Agile or iterative product environment.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or emerging technology would be valuable but is not essential.
Skills
- Sound product-management skills, or demonstrable transferable capability, with the ability to develop ownership of a product work stream, roadmap, and backlog.
- Strong practical understanding of Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud, or comparable CRM platforms, including data, workflows, automation, reporting, integrations, and system dependencies.
- Strong understanding of customer journeys and how technology and process design can improve customer, operational, and commercial outcomes.
- Strong discovery, prioritization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to distinguish underlying problems from requested solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to create clarity, manage expectations, and influence without direct authority.
- Comfortable working closely with technical teams and able to discuss architecture, integrations, dependencies, and delivery trade-offs.
- Strong analytical skills and an evidence-led approach to defining success, evaluating product performance, and making prioritization decisions.
- A curious and responsible approach to experimentation and emerging technology, including AI and automation, with awareness of regulatory, data, security, and ethical considerations.
