About the Role

WSP is seeking a professional to design IT networks within buildings, collaborating with multiple design disciplines. This role involves liaising with clients and stakeholders to understand and interpret their requirements, implementing leading-edge network designs and technologies, and contributing to the creation of future-ready buildings.

Responsibilities

Design IT networks within buildings, alongside multiple design disciplines.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand, develop, and interpret their requirements.
Implement the latest leading edge network designs and technologies into real-world applications.
Create future-ready buildings.
Work within a Building Technology Systems (BTS) discipline team, providing design and technical advice on projects led by seniors or taking a discipline lead role on smaller projects.
Complete detailed designs.
Carry out feasibility studies for review by colleagues prior to issue.
Contribute to the overall feasibility study for the project.
Produce detailed and performance specifications for the BTS subject to review by colleagues prior to issue.
Produce detailed equipment schedules for issue with the discipline-specific designs.
Work independently using own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of their discipline or have specific specialist experience applicable to the role.
Work under the clear direction of others and interpret the needs of the project where applicable to the discipline.

Requirements

CIBSE/IET/ Engineering Council accredited honours degree or specific experience that will lead to Chartership.
RevitMEP training applied to the discipline.
Any accredited network qualification.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Candidates must be capable of achieving SC-level UK security clearance.
