About the Role
As Hotel General Manager, you will own the hotel's overall performance, leading teams across Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Guest Services to ensure seamless and memorable guest experiences. You will lead by example, manage financial planning and strategic direction, and establish Shoreline Kitchen as a destination venue with fresh thinking and commercial acumen.
Responsibilities
- Drive hotel operations end-to-end, leading all aspects to deliver outstanding guest experiences and strong commercial performance.
- Build and inspire high-performing teams through visible, authentic leadership, fostering accountability, engagement, and service excellence.
- Drive the evolution and market positioning of Shoreline Kitchen, supporting F&B activations, partnerships, and local engagement.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, profitability, and strategic business planning to grow patronage, revenue, and market share.
- Introduce innovative concepts and product enhancements to elevate the guest journey and embed the hotel and Shoreline Kitchen within the local community.
- Maintain high standards in WHS, food safety, and brand compliance, while building strong stakeholder relationships.
Requirements
- Current experience as a General Manager or an experienced Hotel Manager in a full-service hotel (114+ keys).
- Strong Food & Beverage leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to drive venue performance in premium hospitality.
- Track record of supporting activations, enhancing guest experiences, and driving product innovation.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience managing hotel financial performance.
- Outstanding stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Genuine commitment to mentorship and developing engaged teams.
- Solid understanding of WHS, food safety, and hotel compliance requirements.
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
