About the Role
Tavily, part of Nebius, is the web access layer for AI agents, used by over two million developers and Fortune 500 companies. This role owns the vertical search product layer end-to-end, from deciding which industries and use cases to productize, to shaping the product surface, and working with customers to define requirements. The goal is to ship a product that customers will pay more for and have a clear vision for future development. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role within a small PM team, reporting to the Director of Product.
Responsibilities
- Own the vertical roadmap, deciding investment priorities, shipment schedules, and viability of verticals.
- Shape the product surface on top of data to meet specific customer job requirements.
- Find and evaluate data from public and paid providers for each vertical, determining investment worthiness.
- Engage with customers to understand their workflows and translate needs into engineering specifications.
- Define success metrics for each use case in collaboration with the evaluation team.
- Gather customer feedback from customer success to identify needs and reasons for churn.
- Collaborate with the search owner to optimize result ranking and shaping for specific use cases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience, with significant experience in search, data, or industry-specific AI products.
- Experience building products for specific industries or use cases, with technical depth in data sourcing, quality assessment, and usability.
- Proven track record in customer discovery, deeply understanding team workflows and shipping products based on findings.
- Experience in API-first or developer-platform businesses.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, AI agents, and the role of search and retrieval systems in agentic workflows.
- Technical background (Computer Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent experience) enabling deep engagement with technical architecture.
- Ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority.
