About the Role
Seeking an experienced Temporary Chef de Partie (CDP) to support the kitchen team at a busy cafe-bistro in Paddington, London. This role offers a great opportunity for a reliable and skilled chef to work in a professional environment, prepare high-quality food, and help deliver smooth kitchen service.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the required standards.
- Managing your designated kitchen section during food preparation and service.
- Following recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines accurately.
- Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene, cleanliness, and organization at all times.
- Checking deliveries, rotating stock, and helping to minimize food waste.
- Following allergen, food safety, and kitchen health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
- Experience working in a cafe, bistro, restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen is desirable.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, food safety, and allergen awareness.
- Ability to prepare and present food consistently to a high standard.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work well under pressure.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to support a temporary kitchen assignment in Paddington.
