About the Role
The client, Endure Consulting GmbH, is a boutique consultancy focused on operational improvement and efficiency programs. They partner with clients from analysis through implementation, driving measurable, sustainable change. Endure Consulting combines industry and consulting expertise, working collaboratively with clients at all levels. They are expanding their team for a multi-year efficiency program with a major European process industry company. This role involves site responsibility, ensuring analysis translates into action, decisions progress, and agreed-upon results are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project and action rhythm of a plant, from shop floor and weekly formats to management and steering meetings, tracking target contributions, responsibilities, and timings, and identifying deviations early.
- Control the action portfolio, prioritize with the client, and ensure focus projects are implemented to demonstrable effect.
- Collaborate closely with plant, department, and project managers, moderate diverse interests, and manage challenging situations effectively.
- Provide technical leadership to operational consultants, offering guidance, challenging results, and ensuring high-quality implementation.
- Empower managers and teams to sustainably anchor and implement new control and working methods themselves.
- Condense results appropriately for the audience and report to program management and leadership, communicating effectively across all organizational levels.
- Manage the project and action rhythm of a plant, from regular shop floor and weekly formats to management and steering meetings, keeping an eye on target contributions, responsibilities, and timings, and making deviations visible early.
- Control the portfolio of measures, prioritize together with the client, and ensure that focus projects are implemented up to demonstrable impact.
- Work closely with plant, department, and project managers, moderate differing interests, and confidently manage difficult situations.
- Provide technical leadership to operational consultants, give direction, challenge results, and ensure high quality in implementation.
- Enable managers and teams to sustainably anchor and implement new steering and working methods themselves.
- Consolidate results in an audience-appropriate manner and report to program management and management. Communicate confidently between the shop floor, plant management, and the board.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in consulting and managing complex projects or workstreams, ideally in an industrial environment with technical leadership of consultants or project teams.
- In-depth experience in Lean Management/Lean Production, Performance Improvement, KPI management, deviation management, and operational transformation, with knowledge of complex production environments. Experience in paper, pulp, packaging, chemicals, or a comparable process industry is particularly desirable.
- Structured, reliable, and assertive, yet approachable and pragmatic. Confidently handle resistance and communicate effectively across all levels from production staff to the board.
- Negotiation-level German and proficient English.
- Willingness to work primarily on-site at an Austrian project location.
