About the Role
ENDURE Consulting GmbH is seeking a Consultant Operational Excellence – Production (m/f/d) to join their team for a multi-year efficiency program at a large European process industry company. This role involves working directly on production processes, identifying improvement potentials, and ensuring effective measures and measurable results.
Responsibilities
- Analyze production data to identify relevant loss and efficiency drivers, including plant availability, uptime, scrap, speed, and material usage.
- Derive concrete improvement measures from analyses and develop practical solutions with production, technical, logistics, and shift management teams.
- Work closely with production personnel on the shop floor, moderate shop floor formats, understand operational challenges firsthand, and ensure measures are realistically translated into daily work.
- Support the implementation of measures within your area of responsibility, track progress and results, and ensure improvements are measurably effective.
- Contribute to topics such as plant availability, downtimes, maintenance processes, material flows, and inventory, depending on experience.
- Enable managers and employees to independently continue new processes, routines, and standards long-term.
Requirements
- Previous consulting experience in Operational Excellence, Performance Improvement, Manufacturing, or Transformation.
- Familiarity with industrial production processes and complex plant and process structures.
- Experience in paper, pulp, or packaging industries is ideal; experience in chemicals, specialty chemicals, steel, glass, building materials, pharmaceuticals, or comparable process industries is also suitable.
- Proficiency in analyzing losses and process data.
- Knowledge of relevant methods from Lean Management, OEE, TPM, PDCA, A3, or Six Sigma.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and strong analytical skills with a focus on implementation and results measurement.
- Ability to quickly learn new topics.
- Confident communication skills across different levels, from shift management to the board.
- Negotiation-level German and proficient English language skills.
- Willingness to work predominantly on-site at an Austrian production location.
- Flexibility to live and work anywhere in the DACH region, with regular on-site presence required for project work.
