About the Role
As an Intern, you will support the M&A team in advising mid-sized companies, leading private equity firms, and national/international corporations on all corporate finance matters related to company sales, capital increases, and financing. The focus is on succession solutions for entrepreneurs, business models, and identifying hidden champions of the German Mittelstand.
Responsibilities
- Support the identification and approach of potential clients, advisors, investors, and potential buyers.
- Assist in building and maintaining client relationships with potential investors and buyers from family offices, investment companies, and strategists.
- Create market analyses, presentations, pitch decks, teasers, and information memorandums.
- Support all process steps within M&A transactions.
- Assist in the organization and execution of due diligence reviews.
- Take responsibility for the creation and evaluation of business plans and company valuations.
- Participate in meetings with entrepreneurs, investors, and advisors.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in business administration or a comparable field with a focus on Corporate Finance.
- Good knowledge of PowerPoint presentations and Excel models.
- Quick comprehension, strong analytical thinking, and a high willingness to learn.
- High level of commitment, teamwork skills, and a good understanding of business models and economic contexts.
- First practical experience in a relevant field, a convincing demeanor, and an analytical as well as independent way of working.
- Fluent in German and English.
