About the Role
Barker Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team, working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK. This role offers the opportunity to develop your career within an award-winning, employee-owned, multi-disciplinary property consultancy.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Prepare calculations and hydraulic models with senior support
- Inspect infrastructure and write follow-up technical reports
- Draft documentation and project drawings for final issue
- Attend meetings including pre-contract visits and client briefs
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in civil engineering design in a consultancy environment
- Understanding of drainage design, highways design, and infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, with Civil 3D experience desirable
- Awareness of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and surface water management principles
- Ability to prepare technical drawings, calculations, and reports
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Keen to develop professionally and progress towards ICE membership and chartership
- Full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle
- Subject to a DBS Enhanced check
