About the Role

RDG's Quality Assurance Practice is seeking a Technical QA AI Analyst for the Quasar team. This role involves traditional technical QA, including system knowledge documentation, traceability, and testing, alongside assuring AI-enabled solutions. The position is crucial for ensuring both technical systems and AI solutions are rigorously assured before release, especially as RDG adopts AI across its operations.

Responsibilities

Build and document system knowledge in Confluence using the Quasar-prescribed format.
Own requirement traceability for assigned systems, maintaining accurate coverage.
Develop and execute test strategies for AI-enabled functionality, including LLM features, ML models, and RAG pipelines.
Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, consistency, and safety, identifying and managing issues like hallucinations and bias.
Validate AI/ML performance using appropriate metrics and assure training and evaluation data quality.
Conduct adversarial and robustness testing on AI features, including red-teaming and prompt injection.
Contribute to AI governance evidence, such as risk assessments and explainability documentation.
Create and deliver key QA deliverables, including test plans, strategies, and reports.
Maintain and build functional and non-functional testing using approved automation tools.
Manage automation scripts and code bases through GitHub and GitLab, supporting CI/CD and DevOps models.
Ensure supplier and third-party test delivery aligns with RDG policy and standards.
Report daily testing status to the Test Manager and stakeholders, escalating delays proactively.

Requirements

Proven experience in manual and automation testing of end-to-end solutions in waterfall and agile environments.
Experience testing or assuring AI-enabled solutions, including output evaluation and guardrail validation.
Good understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, including model training and evaluation metrics.
Working knowledge of test tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ALM.
Hands-on automation experience with tools like PyCharm, Selenium, Robot Framework, Python, ReadyAPI, SauceLabs, or LoadRunner.
Demonstrable knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps models and code management through GitHub and GitLab.
Keen understanding of system analysis, including drafting clear requirements and creating process diagrams.
Ability to simplify and communicate technical requirements and AI behavior to non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in a risk-based approach to testing, requirement traceability, and static assurance.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related Engineering discipline.
ISTQB/ISEB certification.
ISTQB Certified Tester – AI Testing (CT-AI) is highly desirable.

£44,389 - £45,000 per annum
