About the Role

This hybrid role involves dedicated time to grow our Roads business in a new sector, alongside client-facing, billable work. We are seeking an experienced candidate to contribute to landmark projects and connect with industry leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Champion health, safety, and well-being culture by leading by example.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and industry partners to enhance WSP’s market presence.
  • Lead business development activities to secure new, sustainable opportunities.
  • Develop a pipeline of opportunities within the dedicated sector.
  • Coordinate with business and sector/client leaders for alignment, best practice sharing, and resource allocation.
  • Meet funding (sales) and revenue targets within the Region for the dedicated sector.
  • Lead key accounts and client relationships as required for the sector.
  • Participate in tender bids and business development opportunities.
  • Agree fees and manage the commercial position on projects.
  • Support the Regional Director, Growth Director, and Regional Leadership Team in achieving their goals.
  • Contribute to Regional Business Unit initiatives, best practice, and value propositions.
  • Provide visible growth leadership to the wider team, upskilling capabilities in growth, bidding, client, and account management.
  • Ensure effective deployment of competent resources to bids and project mobilization.
  • Lead projects to ensure technical quality and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Experience in a growth-focused role.
  • Experience working for a consultancy business across a specific sector.
  • Experience operating at management level delivering services to the public and private sector.
  • Ability to champion client-centric delivery excellence by understanding client needs and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
