About the Role
Our paid Intern & Placement programme offers hands-on insight into our work, helping you develop skills and knowledge in your chosen field. The programme is based on Arcadis’ core values, providing technical training and support for personal and professional development. You will be exposed to real projects and clients, gaining a range of experiences over a 10–12-week internship or 12-month placement.
Responsibilities
- Design and improve infrastructure for clean water, environmental protection, and community support.
- Work on critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects, developing innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects including water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, advanced process technologies, low-carbon solutions, and digital engineering.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of mechanical systems to improve water quality, increase resilience, and enhance operational performance.
- Develop technical and professional skills while contributing to projects that make a tangible difference to society and the environment.
Requirements
- Working towards a degree in a relevant subject.
- Demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking, and being a Team Player.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to use technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
- Willing to travel and stay away from home when required.
