About the Role
The Future Talent Program offers internships lasting up to 12 weeks, featuring projects within the Research and Development Division. This role provides development opportunities and a chance to assess long-term career fit. Our Research Laboratories in South San Francisco, CA are seeking a summer intern to work in a state-of-the-art High-Throughput Purification (HTP) laboratory. The intern will develop novel analytical, purification, and data science methodologies impacting our early pipeline, focusing on compound purification challenges, data insights, and AI/ML applications.
Responsibilities
- Purify and analyze small molecules, peptides, and bioconjugates with HPLC methods.
- Utilize machine learning tools and contribute to developing procedures and gaining insights from historical data to accelerate workflows.
- Accurately record experimental details.
- Analyze and interpret data for potential scientific publications.
- Present research results in oral and written formats.
- Participate in departmental and team meetings to gain a broad perspective on the drug development process.
Requirements
- Must be available to work full-time for 10-12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June of 2027.
- Must have completed at least two years of study toward a bachelor's degree by June 2027.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with effective verbal and written communication.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and collaborate effectively.
- Enthusiasm to learn new skills and techniques to tackle problems outside of current expertise.
