About the Role

Join our team to help shape the digital future of Berlin's administration by advancing digitalization and creating a modern, future-proof foundation for the city. We are seeking a Group Leader for Managed Windows Servers to support the Infrastructure Operations department.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and develop employees, focusing on target systems, customer satisfaction, and economic efficiency.
Design and manage the implementation of IT services according to ITIL standards as a central service unit.
Coordinate new orders and changes, maintaining direct contact with public administration clients.
Develop operating processes to ensure a stable and reliable managed server service.
Design IT system planning for the adaptation, scaling, optimization, and further development of IT systems in accordance with ICT infrastructure requirements.

Requirements

Completed university degree (e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics) or equivalent knowledge and skills.
In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and required operating environments (e.g., MCM, WSUS, Powershell).
Analytical skills for solving complex problems and situations.
Knowledge of coordinating tasks within a team to achieve set goals.
German language skills at B2 level (GER).
Willingness to undergo extended security screening (SÜ 2) according to § 11 of the Berlin Security Screening Act (BSÜG).
Initial leadership experience (disciplinary or project-based) is advantageous.
Successful planning and management of projects for the introduction and further development of IT services is advantageous.
Reliability, strong execution skills, excellent communication skills, and agile working methods are strengths.
