About the Role
Cox Automotive is seeking Software Development Interns to join their team. This internship offers exposure to meaningful and challenging work, mentorship, and opportunities to develop professional skills and expand your network. Interns will collaborate with a team to build innovative solutions and contribute to a bold, sustainable, accessible, and inclusive future.
Responsibilities
- Gain familiarity with Product Management concepts, practices, and methodologies.
- Perform standard Product Manager duties, including client and market research for product evaluation and planning.
- Conduct analysis and research to understand customer, market, and product application information.
- Support team efforts to develop and refine product vision and functional requirements.
- Engage with technical, product, and other colleagues on product design, project planning, development, release, and execution.
- Prepare and distribute project status updates.
- Conduct post-project evaluations.
- Learn and apply the company’s Product Management standards and policies.
- Understand the "why" behind each Feature and work with Product Managers to understand the roadmap and supporting KPIs.
- Partner with Product Managers to provide input into business case documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (in progress).
- Working knowledge of Product specialty/job area, principles, concepts, and practices.
- Strong writing ability.
- Some experience in design, development, and implementation of product plans.
- Some experience in full product lifecycle methodologies.
- Some experience in conducting competitive research and analysis.
- Some experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
- Must clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana pre-employment drug test not administered for this position, but drug-free workplace policies apply).

Salary/Compensations
- Hourly base pay rate is $26.63 - $40.00/hour.
- Hourly base rate may vary based on location and candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Position may be eligible for additional compensation (commission and/or incentive program).
