Responsibilities

Demonstrate senior leadership capability through influence and challenge.
Translate strategy into clear, practical direction by questioning current approaches and identifying better ways of working.
Focus effort on key priorities, take responsibility for delivery, and resolve issues or risks proactively.
Support colleagues by sharing expertise, coaching informally, and contributing to an inclusive and safe environment.
Build strong, trusted working relationships through open collaboration and constructive challenge.
Strengthen governance and risk culture through everyday influence and role-modeling good risk awareness.
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide regulatory reporting compliance.
Manage Regulatory Reporting Risk, including risk assessments and the operation of the Regulatory Reporting Policy.
Monitor and report on the implementation and operation of the Regulatory Reporting Standard and associated procedures.
Advise, assess, monitor, and report on the organization’s regulator reporting posture, providing insights to senior management.
Support continuous improvement in regulatory reporting frameworks, methodologies, and practices.
Advise the business on better practice approaches to enhance capability and drive compliance outcomes.
Challenge the business on the quality of solutions proposed to address regulatory recommendations.
Prepare, report, and present on the Regulatory Reporting posture to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Senior expertise in risk management concepts, frameworks, and tools, with a proven ability to identify, assess, and manage key nonfinancial risks across an enterprise environment.
7+ years of Risk and Compliance capability, with demonstrated experience providing advice, insight, and challenge across risk management, financial markets, large-scale project delivery, and regulatory remediation programs.
Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate risk and compliance matters to positively influence risk culture and behaviours.
Experience engaging with and managing Division and Enterprise level committees, working groups, and governance forums.
Facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skills.
Developed trusted and collaborative relationships across stakeholder groups, subject matter experts, and leaders.
Experience improving Operational Risk environments and culture.
Legal expertise in financial or similar industry (nice to have).
Experience in large-scale Enterprise-wide risk transformations (nice to have).
Experience in different elements of the 3 lines of defence and with different elements of the ERMF including compliance (nice to have).
Experience across RBA Financial Stability Standards and Licensee Compliance Reporting to Regulators (nice to have).
Must be legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without any restrictions.
