About the Role
The Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown is seeking a Full-Time AM Line Cook to join their Food & Beverage team. This role is responsible for preparing and executing breakfast and morning menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and cleanliness in a hotel kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and AM menu items according to recipes and brand standards
- Set up and break down stations for morning service
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, equipment, and workstations
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
- Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, and stocking as needed
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen team members
- Support overall kitchen operations during peak service times
Requirements
- Ability to work any day of the week, early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience (hotel or breakfast experience a plus)
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate with staff both verbally and written
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Moving up to 50 lbs. frequently, throughout shift, to perform essential job functions
- Capable of remaining in a standing position, either stationary or walking, for duration of shift
- Extend arms; frequent reaching, twisting, pulling, bending, and stooping
- Ability to observe and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines for food handling, cross-contamination protocols, and sanitation
- Able to provide Texas Food Handler's Safety Certificate
