About the Role

The Future Talent Program offers Cooperative (Co-op) education opportunities lasting 4-6 months, including project work. These roles in our Research division provide development and a chance to assess long-term career fit. Our Pharmaceutical Analysis and Digital Technology (PADT) and Large Molecule Analytical (LMA) departments are seeking co-ops to develop novel analytical methodologies for drug substance and drug product development in state-of-the-art laboratories.

Responsibilities

Develop novel analytical methodologies impacting drug substance and drug product development.
Collaborate in a team environment within state-of-the-art laboratories.
Focus on solving key challenges in product and process characterization.
Gain exposure to core instrumentation for modern analysis of small molecules, biologics, and/or vaccines.
Learn fundamentals of analytical, physical, and biological chemistry method development.
Participate in departmental and project team meetings to understand the drug development process.
Maintain accurate electronic notebook recording of experimental details.
Analyze and interpret data for potential internal or external scientific publications.
Refine laboratory skills, learn new analytical techniques, and understand current challenges in analytical research.
Present research results in both oral and written formats.

Requirements

Must be available to work full-time for 4-6 months beginning in early to mid-2027.
Must have completed at least two years of studies toward a bachelor's degree by June 2027.
Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD degree in Chemistry, Biology (e.g. Cell Biology, Virology), Biochemistry, Chemical/Biological Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related discipline.
Must have strong academic performance.
Must possess strong communication skills.
Must demonstrate teamwork capabilities.
Must have the ability to work in a multi-functional environment.
