About the Role
As a Material Planner, you will coordinate production and repair activities to meet demand. Your responsibilities include overseeing planning performance, optimizing resources, upholding HSE standards, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production and repair plans within your scope.
- Define planning standards, ensure data accuracy, and optimize ERP planning settings.
- Monitor stock levels and adjust plans to balance demand, capacity, and industrial constraints.
- Optimize resource utilization across people, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Support the Master Planner and APRU Manager in building and executing the Production & Repair Plan.
- Analyze workload/capacity and implement solutions for short-term disruptions.
- Track industrial cycles and maintain accurate ERP updates.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP, PLM, and industrial information systems.
- Solid understanding of supply chain flows, master scheduling, and manufacturing/repair processes.
- Experience with Just-in-Time and continuous improvement tools (5S, Gemba, PDCA).
- Confident using digital tools and dashboards for analysis and decision support.
- Excellent communicator with strong collaboration, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated rigour and ability to work effectively without direct people management.
- Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
- Must pass pre-employment police checks.
