About the Role

Supervises experienced business enablers and/or entry individual contributors. Manages day-to-day critical supply chain Warehouse and Distribution standard operating procedures, critical milestones, key performance measures, and end deliverables. Defines project terms for high-level departmental delegation for warehouse material movement and the subsequent processing and distribution of all finished goods and services in compliance with regulatory agency protocols, quality standards and applicable local and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

Supervises individual contributors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management.
Oversees high-level Warehouse and Distribution supply chain logistics operations, from initial receiving of components in materials movement, to the final distribution and transportation of finished goods.
Supports initiatives to ensure all warehouse areas are properly maintained, and product is stored and handled in accordance with company policies, procedures, and federal and local regulatory requirements.
Measures and monitors site inventory by verifying accuracy for all transactions, following departmental cycle count programs, to avoid physical inventory inaccuracies.
Collects relevant, current competitor activity and announcements to create innovative ideas for new Warehouse and Distribution strategies.
Ensures core Warehouse and Distribution procedures are in accordance with local and federal regulatory policies and requirements.
Manages operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), and ensures achievement of team goals within expected standards.
Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with the team.
Responsible for management of logistics, manufacturing operations, and continuous operations.
Develops and manages distribution center operational plans and KPIs (input and data utilization for global dashboard).
Develops corrective actions for issues and ensures quality and safety compliance.
Researches needs for improvement of existing processes, systems, and equipment, and collaborates with related departments on optimization activities (CIP) to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.
Improves process efficiency by leveraging order characteristics and material handling equipment features (Lean).
Streamlines operations through digital utilization.
Manages supplier performance (SLA).
Executes risk management and business continuity plans (Operation Continuity Plan), and participates in internal/external projects.
Continuously researches and identifies cost reduction initiatives, proposes action plans based on data analysis of opportunities and risks, and achieves results.
Responsible for safety awareness and workplace environment maintenance, and compliance adherence.
Drives daily management tasks by understanding and comprehending the structure and operations of the assigned duties, executes actions for issues/challenges, participates in company initiatives representing the department, and strives for improvement of company goals and customer service.
Leads and manages operations related to logistics and manufacturing.

Requirements

Customer focus, understanding of business structure, operations, and strong communication skills with excellent leadership.
Excellent communication skills, both vertically and horizontally within the organization.
Business-level English communication skills (able to present in English, participate in conference calls with US headquarters, and convey opinions appropriately).
3+ years of experience in supply chain related operations.
Experience in planning and executing projects (regardless of scale).
Experience participating in global meetings.
Must obtain application approval from current manager and respective BUHR if less than 18 months in current role (Japan employees).
Not able to apply for multiple positions at once (Japan employees).
Must inform current manager when moving to the 1st interview stage.
Understand and comply with the details of the Employee Referral Program (ERP).
