About the Role
Responsible for managing the delivery of process, data, technology and transformation activities for Tax processes globally. This role focuses on managing Tax processes, troubleshooting issues, and identifying opportunities for standardization, transformation, and process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Manage Tax processes, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for standardization, transformation & process improvements globally.
- Identify technology opportunities for Tax, assess feasibility, develop business cases, and coordinate implementation to ensure delivery of planned ROIs.
- Ensure Haleon’s processes and systems remain in line with new and evolving tax legislation globally, leading cross-functional projects to implement technology solutions and business process changes for E-Invoicing and E-reporting compliance.
- Lead engagements with third-party and technology providers to implement solutions and ensure Haleon’s requirements and standards are met.
- Lead on VAT configuration of SAP, understanding VAT structures and transactions.
- Understand Indirect Tax data, advise on corrections, and determine correct VAT treatment of transactions.
- Partner with other business areas (e.g. P2P, O2C) to ensure upstream processes support Tax compliance and business process changes are tax assessed.
- Drive the execution of a communication, education, and training strategy across tax, finance, and the wider business.
- Work within the Global Tax team understanding Tax risks and critical areas of focus for an international tax function.
Requirements
- Degree holder, accounting or tax qualification.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Tax, working across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience in Indirect tax (VAT) as well as technology, process, and compliance transformation.
- Ability to understand Trade Compliance and Customers requirements.
- Experience leading projects and coordinating technology and business teams across multiple jurisdictions for e-invoicing and similar reporting requirements.
- Proven track record of achievement in tax transformation and technology in a shared service / outsource model and large multinational environment.
- Experience and confidence in building relationships with a wide range of senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse teams.
- Appreciation of the different approaches of tax authorities globally.
Skills
- Automation and data and analytics platforms e.g. Power BI, PowerApps, Alteryx & AI.
- Good Indirect Tax knowledge.
- Strong SAP user, particularly regarding Indirect Tax configuration.
- Experience using SAP from a VAT perspective.
