About the Role
Join the team that brings world-class events to life at the Sydney Opera House. As Event Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating and delivering a diverse range of events from concept through to completion. Acting as the primary contact for clients, you will build trusted relationships, advocate for customer needs and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver exceptional event experiences. This dynamic role requires strong organisational skills, sound judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities, resources, budgets and timelines in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Planning, coordinating and delivering a diverse range of events from concept through to completion.
- Acting as the primary contact for clients.
- Building trusted relationships with clients.
- Advocating for customer needs.
- Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver exceptional event experiences.
- Managing competing priorities, resources, budgets and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in theatre and event management, including company, stage and production management, and delivery of a wide range of events (e.g. corporate, exhibitions, festivals, civic, community, functions, sporting and performing arts), with strong understanding of planning and operational requirements.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant professional experience in event management.
- Proven leadership capability in complex, high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to motivate self and others.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and oversight of financial processes.
- Strong contract management and project delivery expertise.
- Interpreting and implementing contracts.
- Advanced use of event management systems.
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple concurrent events with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Existing Australian work rights.
- Satisfactory National Police Check.
- Satisfactory Pre-Employment Health Assessment.

- Base salary of $120,013 per annum plus 12% Superannuation Contributions
