About the Role

The Cyber Threat Intelligence Lead will play a key part in strengthening the organization’s cyber resilience by contributing to the development and delivery of timely, relevant, and actionable intelligence on emerging cyber threats. This role offers the chance to contribute to one of the largest police forces in the western world while shaping cutting-edge capabilities that directly enhance community safety and modern policing. You will lead and continually mature the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) capability of the New South Wales Police Force (NSWPF), helping to shape the direction of the program and produce threat intelligence focusing on serious threats to the organization, its technologies, and its people.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continually mature the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) capability of the New South Wales Police Force (NSWPF).
  • Produce threat intelligence focusing on serious threats to the organization, its technologies, and its people.
  • Research emerging and established techniques across a range of new and old technologies spanning the OSI model.
  • Collaborate with state and federal agencies.
  • Conduct intelligence sharing.
  • Contribute to intelligence sharing communities.

Requirements

  • Must be able to translate intelligence into meaningful insights that support stakeholders.
  • Interest in security research, intelligence production and frameworks such as STIX is desired.
  • The successful applicant is required to obtain and maintain a NV2 (Negative Vetting) clearance.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen.
  • Will be required to undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check.
  • Will be required to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
