About the Role
Casual role at NSW’s largest private hospital, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to patient care within a collaborative, passionate, and highly skilled Allied Health team.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients across Oncology, Stroke, Surgical, ICU, General Medical and Rehabilitation wards.
- Screen, assess, and diagnose speech, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centred interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Provide ad-hoc leave coverage for the existing team.
- Utilize instrumental dysphagia assessments, including FEES, when indicated.
Requirements
- Qualified Speech Pathologist with relevant experience in a hospital acute care & rehabilitation setting.
- Strong clinical skills in patient-centered speech therapy care that is evidence-based.
- Proficiency in screening, assessments, diagnosis, and interventions using safe and current techniques for communication and swallowing disorders.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
- Member of SPA (or eligible to be).
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, can-do, positive attitude.
- Proven experience thriving in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
- Ability to be collaborative, adaptable, and work well within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and employ independent professional judgment.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a range of pre-employment checks and assessments.

Salary/Compensations
- $53-62/hr + loading + NFP tax reduction benefits
