About the Role
Support a cross-functional group of 3 to 4 engineering teams to design, develop, and integrate software features. Coach and nurture engineering managers, collaborate with product managers and designers on the product roadmap, and provide stewardship of platform capabilities. Play a lead role in developing team culture and vision, and drive change impacting associates beyond your team.
Responsibilities
- Support a cross-functional group of 3 to 4 engineering teams to design, develop, and integrate software features.
- Coach and nurture engineering managers on how to build, empower, and operate teams to achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers on the overall product roadmap for a key business goal.
- Provide sound stewardship of the platform and capabilities created and owned by your teams.
- Be part of the engineering leadership team that evolves and enhances capability by defining and adopting best practices.
- Play a lead role in the development of your teams culture, their vision, and how they achieve it.
- Work with associates across the business to identify, lead, and drive change that impacts associates beyond your team.
Requirements
- Experience in leading and supporting multi-disciplined engineering teams to achieve business goals.
- Comfortable in reaching technical trade-offs between short-term team and long-term business needs.
- Passionate about recruiting and developing great engineering talent.
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and work together across engineering to maximize inner-sourcing opportunities and reduce waste.
