About the Role
We are seeking a security officer for a premier luxury retail flagship in San Francisco. This role involves being the first point of contact for guests, managing crowd control in high-traffic situations, and maintaining a calm authority. The position requires professionalism and presence in an upscale, client-facing environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a visible and welcoming presence at the entrance and throughout the store.
- Manage guest flow during regular hours, peak periods, and special events.
- Identify and de-escalate disruptive behavior using calm, direct communication.
- Handle access control, log deliveries, and track high-value merchandise.
- Collaborate with store leadership on incident reporting and operational needs.
- Uphold the store's professional standards in appearance and conduct.
Requirements
- Valid California Guard Card (BSIS-issued) required before the first day.
- Background in law enforcement, military, corrections, security, or door/crowd control is strongly preferred.
- Experience in high-volume public environments such as retail, hospitality, or events.
- Sharp situational awareness and sound judgment under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in handling confrontation professionally.
- Reliable transportation and a consistent record of punctuality.
