About the Role

As a Working Student in the CE Applied AI Team, you will support the hands-on deployment of AI tools into real case team workflows, helping to translate concrete business needs into practical, lightweight AI-enabled solutions that improve day-to-day project work.

Responsibilities

Support AI tool deployment, including configuring and adapting AI tools for selected case teams, setting up custom GPTs, assisting with prompt optimization, and supporting simple API-based integrations.
Build and test prototypes, developing small prototypes and automations to test new use cases, iterating based on feedback, and refining solutions into usable setups.
Assist with agent and workflow design, contributing to the design and optimization of AI-supported workflows, including basic prompt engineering and structured experimentation with different tools.
Provide operational support to consultants with technical questions, troubleshooting, and onboarding to AI-enabled workflows, ensuring smooth integration into project work.
Explore new GenAI capabilities by testing new AI features and tools and helping assess their relevance for internal and case-related use cases.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s or master’s program in computer science, data science, business informatics, or a related field.
Some experience with AI tools and workflows, ideally including API integrations and prompt engineering.
Programming knowledge (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
Strong analytical skills and a keen interest in AI-driven process automation.
Fluent in English.
Ability to build before polishing, defaulting to trying things out rather than extensive research.
Ability to move fast, iterate quickly, and prefer a rough prototype over a perfect plan.
Experience with tools such as Claude, Cursor, or n8n is a plus.
Ability to write a working Python script, call an API, and prompt an LLM effectively.
Ability to learn new tools quickly and apply them pragmatically.
Ability to translate messy, ambiguous business problems into structured, automatable workflows.
Comfortable speaking with nontechnical stakeholders, clarifying needs, and delivering solutions that create tangible value.
Self-directed and dependable, making every session count.
Ability to absorb context quickly, work independently, and communicate proactively.
Requires minimal guidance and manages time responsibly.
Genuinely curious about GenAI and its real-world impact.
Experiments with AI tools in personal time, whether building agents, automating personal workflows, or testing possibilities.
Sees AI as a lever for step-change impact, not incremental improvement.
