About the Role
The Financial Controller Assistant will support the Financial Controller TV Series and Head of Production Finance in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, production finance, and analysis activities, gaining exposure to diverse finance operations within a dynamic production environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and delivery of monthly financial reporting packages, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Assist with data collection and preparation of the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
- Assist with audit activities, including the preparation of supporting documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Provide general administrative and ad hoc support to the Finance team as required.
- Support the financial close, wind-down, and transition activities for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), ensuring completion of all associated financial and statutory requirements.
- Assist with the preparation, calculation, and reconciliation of tax credit claims.
- Support the preparation and review of development reporting, including the tracking and analysis of development expenditure.
- Perform production finance analysis.
- Assist with the preparation of project greenlight approvals, including preparation of supporting financial information.
- Gather, compile, and assist in analysing of production budget data to support benchmarking exercises and facilitate informed decision-making across productions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, production, and business teams to ensure the timely delivery of financial information and analysis.
Requirements
- Previous experience in audit or controlling, ideally within the industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive, organised and eager to learn.
- Able to work in autonomy.
- Passion for films and TV shows.
Skills
- Fluent in English
- Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
