About the Role

The Trade Marketing Specialist, RTD acts as the trade & marketing execution engine for new premium RTD brand propositions, ensuring flawless in-store execution across Japan's leading retail channels. This role owns the 12-month trade activation calendar, partner briefs, and localized field execution tools to secure distribution and defend shelf velocity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic briefing and commercial alignment of 3rd-Party distribution partner's trade marketing and sales planning teams.
  • Drive the creation of compelling "selling stories" and customized toolkits for Key Account Managers (KAMs).
  • Design and deploy cross-channel commercial activations optimized for CVS and SM channels.
  • Build strong customer and partner relationships to align brand activation plans with their needs.
  • Oversee the strategic allocation and operational guidelines for the outsourced merchandiser pool.
  • Establish and audit localized 'Perfect Store' guidelines prioritizing premium 350ml and 500ml format strategies.
  • Manage allocated trade marketing expenditure and partner with global procurement for POSM.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of trade marketing, shopper marketing, or commercial sales experience within the Japanese FMCG or Beverage Alcohol sectors.
  • Native/Fluent Japanese and professional fluency in English (speaking and writing).
  • Strong capability to track store-level retail execution metrics, scan data, and competitor activations.
  • Exceptional relational and communication skills to influence external 3rd-party sales teams and distributors.
  • High proficiency in MS Office and standard brand tracking platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in repurposing or optimizing merchandiser structures to secure secondary placements and incremental shelf share.
