About the Role
The EVS attendant will be responsible for cleaning public areas throughout the casino, ensuring a 5-star cleanliness standard.
Responsibilities
- Vacuum, clean, dust, and polish all surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, hallways, staircases, and floor landings.
- Clean and maintain restrooms and floors, including vacuuming, mopping, and sweeping.
- Stock and sort supplies.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize the casino floor and front-of-house restaurants.
- Keep all public and designated back-of-house areas free of debris.
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing, shining, and glass care.
- Wipe down all slot machines.
- Empty trash, vacuum carpets, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean and restock restrooms on a scheduled and as-needed basis.
- Clean stains and spills on flooring and carpeting.
- Maintain all equipment, ensuring it is clean and free of marks.
- Safely deliver lost and found articles to the designated area.
- Ensure cleanliness meets 5-star requirements.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming Commission.
- Knowledge of all cleaning products and their proper usage.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the resort casino.
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24-hour resort casino environment.
- Must effectively deal with guests, colleagues, vendors, and members of the business community.
