About the Role
This role involves setting strategy directly with the CEO and trustee board, building funding relationships with banks, consultancies, foundations, and major donors, designing impact delivery models including AI-enabled solutions, and ensuring airtight governance and financial controls. It requires a candidate credible in strategy, fundraising, and governance.
Responsibilities
- Setting the Fund's strategy with the CEO and Trustees
- Designing impact delivery, including new AI-enabled programmes
- Building and managing funder relationships (banks, consultancies, foundations, major donors)
- Writing and pitching funding propositions
- Owning charity governance (trustee board packs, regulatory compliance)
- Running financial controls, treasury, and audit preparation
- Building and leading a small team
Requirements
- Currently based in the UK, with the right to work without sponsorship
- Comfortable owning ambiguous work with no existing playbook
- Ability to build relationships with senior funders from a cold start
- Ability to write and pitch a funding proposition that secures funding
- Strong strategic capabilities, including building a theory of change
- Governance and financial discipline
- Hands-on fluency with AI tools applied to practical problems
