About the Role

Join one of the fastest-growing organizations within Amazon Web Services (AWS) and help customers of all industries and sizes gain the best value and service from AWS. Cloud Operations Architects (COA) drive customer innovation across all technologies. This is an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ to organizations ranging from start-ups to large enterprises.

Responsibilities

Advise on solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for the customer.
Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity.
Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management using technical acumen and customer obsession.
Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives.
Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
Provide detailed reviews of service events, monthly & quarterly metrics, and detailed pre-launch planning.
Solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud.

Requirements

Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for three (3) of the following: compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development in a distributed systems environment.
Experience in technical engineering.
Speak, write, and read fluently in German and English at C1 level or above.
