We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Vice President, Data Analytics Officer for our Finance Division in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Data management by seeking effective business solutions for the delivery of new regulatory requirements.
  • Play a key role in delivering continuous improvement initiatives through automated and non-automated components of existing regulatory reporting processes.
  • Assist in the analysis of stakeholder objectives and the identification and resolution of underlying issues.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable solutions for IT colleagues.
  • Proactively identify potential benefits and available options for consideration.
  • Work with business users in designing acceptance tests for new systems or changes to existing systems or business processes.
  • Document and maintain the traceability of requirements through to deliverables.
  • Contribute to and drive forward key initiatives including Data and Reporting requirements.
  • Assist and undertake root cause analysis for Data Quality Issues and gain an in-depth understanding of the data life cycle management.
  • Understand Key Data Elements and their application.
  • Perform data quality checks for Key Data Elements (KDE) and take appropriate action.
  • Operate data governance strategies and processes to ensure consistent, high-quality data.
  • Partner with stakeholders/data owners to understand business requirements.
  • Foster collaboration among all parties involved in any project.
  • Initiate the automation of Data Quality E2E Process.
  • Determine business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Establish a timetable for job completion.
  • Understand tabular and multidimensional models compatible with data warehouse standards.
  • Discuss requirements effectively with clients, business teams, and internal teams.
  • Gather requirements for database design and model with the business intelligence team.
  • Understand the data needs of the company and internal customers.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design and analyze the database model.
  • Adjust access to data and reports as needed.
  • Implement data warehouse and reporting solutions with the development team.
  • Ensure all relevant information is available to guide the design of data and reporting solutions.
  • Make informed decisions using data collated from the analysis stage to influence the direction and shape of solutions.

Requirements

  • Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics.
  • Knowledge of Power BI application security layer models and row-level data security.
  • Proficient in performing advanced-level computations on the data set.
  • Knowledge of relational databases including SQL and where to implement logic (DAX vs SQL/Python).
  • Knowledge of entity relationship diagrams and Kimball modeling.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience of training end users on how to use reports.
  • Knowledge of DAMA.
  • Advance Power BI & Python experience required.
  • Familiarity with Informatica (AXON/IDQ/EDC) systems.
  • Advance ability to read and write SQL / Python code.

  • Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market
