About the Role
This two-year Training Contract offers a challenging high-performance experience in commercial law, designed to develop confident solicitors in England and Wales. You will complete four six-month rotations across the firm's Global Product Groups, with at least one seat in Capital Markets, Debt Finance, Project Development & Finance, Restructuring & Insolvency, or Structured Finance. Opportunities for international, client, or Disputes/Pro Bono secondments may also be available.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and proofing documents
- Conducting due diligence on client acquisition targets
- Attending client meetings
- Preparing documents for court hearings
- Researching titles and leases on real estate portfolios
- Creating data rooms ahead of major transactions
- Managing smaller client transactions
Requirements
- Eligible to start Training Contract in August 2029 and/or February 2030
- Achieved or on track to achieve a 2:1 or above in undergraduate degree
- If not studying an England and Wales qualifying law degree, must complete PGDL prior to joining
- Scots or Irish law students/graduates may be required to do elements of the PGDL
- Must complete SQE prior to joining, irrespective of prior LPC completion
- Future Trainees who have already completed SQE must complete the Clifford Chance Plus Programme
- If PGDL completed, must have achieved a commendation (60%+) overall and passed all modules at first attempt
- If SQE completed, must have passed all modules on first attempt
