About the Role
As a Project Manager in our Program and Project Management team, you will contribute to realizing some of the largest and most well-known construction projects with some of the best talent. With your energy, agility, and attention to detail, you will help shape our clients' major, transformative projects.
Responsibilities
- Independent management of complex construction and transportation projects with a focus on cost and schedule management
- Central point of contact for clients and interface with planners, users, and executing companies
- Solution-oriented collaboration with all project stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with cost, schedule, and quality targets
- Evaluation and preparation of project-related information on costs, schedules, and qualities for clients and project stakeholders
- Management and monitoring of internal and external project costs
- Confident use of software applications required for cost and schedule control
- Establishment and maintenance of a structured change process including recording, review, evaluation, decision preparation, and tracking of change requests
- Review of change triggers regarding cause, necessity, responsibility, and classification according to RBBau specifications
- Evaluation of impacts on costs, schedules, and qualities, including plausibility checks of information from planners, users, and executing companies
- Creation and updating of change overviews as a management tool for project management, users, construction administration, and other stakeholders
- Preparation of decision proposals for clients, principals, and responsible committees
- Coordination with principals, users, specialist planners, executing companies, and cost and schedule control
- Ensuring traceable and auditable documentation of all changes
- Integration of approved changes into cost, schedule, and planning documents, and updating of project fundamentals
- Interface management with risk management, especially regarding the impact of changes on existing and new risks
- Quality assurance of forms, tables, and records for change and decision processes
- Participation in compliance with public procurement, budget, and approval requirements
- Creation of reports on change status, including cost consequences, schedule impacts, open decisions, and escalation topics
Requirements
- Completed degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable qualification
- Strong communication skills, diplomatic skill, and professional demeanor
- Independent, structured, and goal-oriented way of working, as well as teamwork skills
- Confident use of AHO, HOAI, and VOB
- Knowledge of RBBau (as of 2023)
- Good knowledge of MS Project and standard MS Office applications
- Ability to evaluate, structure, and prepare project-specific impacts on quality, schedules, and costs
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with existing change and risk management structures
- Openness to the requirements and specifications of public clients
- Interest in the further development of templates, tables, and forms in change and risk management
- Interest in developing software solutions for ongoing risk management
- Enjoyment of working with Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and schedules
- Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken (minimum C1)
