About the Role

The Assistant Manager plays a key role in achieving store standards by leading by example, embracing an entrepreneurial spirit, and inspiring teams through passion and belief in our brands. Stores are the main touch points with consumers, acting as a window to our brands and setting the tone for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead store teams to generate sales, profit, minimize losses, and create the best customer experience while ensuring the store is visually distinctive and impeccably maintained.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve performance through collaboration.
  • Maintain corporate visual merchandising directives and standards for sales floor and back room.
  • Ensure clear communication and understanding between visual merchandising and store teams.
  • Partner with the store management team to build on business opportunities and achieve company standards and objectives.
  • Focus staff on the importance of quality relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure staff accountability in building a repeat customer base by providing unparalleled spirited service.
  • Complete daily/weekly store walkthroughs to evaluate product performance, pricing, staff service levels, and inventory levels.
  • Communicate sales drivers and issues/priorities to the Store Manager to develop strategies for maximizing business.
  • Ensure weekly visual presentation action plans are in place.
  • Analyze store-level reports and create action plans to improve results.
  • Assist with manpower planning, identification, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes.
  • Recruit store personnel with diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.
  • Work with the Store Manager to build bench strength for key positions, including potential successors.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings and other staff meetings.
  • Clearly communicate store and individual sales goals, key performance expectations, and sales results to staff, providing guidance for performance improvement.
  • Provide a great customer journey and achieve exemplary mystery shop results.

Requirements

  • Previous track record of supervisory or specialist roles within a premium or luxury brand.
  • Previous people management experience.
  • Ability to act with purpose to resolve conflict and unproductive disagreements.
  • Ability to collaborate to win.
