About the Role
Join us and take ownership of a key shift, where you'll have the opportunity to inspire, develop and motivate colleagues while driving operational success. This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity reporting into our Senior Warehouse Logistics & Fulfilment Manager, working alongside three other day leaders. You’ll be joining a team of circa 100 based in our Perivale site with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern to cover both shifts.
Responsibilities
- Take full operational responsibility for the day to day running of the warehouse on your shift
- Lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve challenging productivity and quality targets
- Effectively lead, develop and manage our night team, whilst identifying areas for development and recognising success
- Create and maintain a positive team culture, by actively encouraging ideas and involvement from all, to improve employee engagement
- Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates and insight
- Drive an agenda for change including system and productivity monitoring improvements
- Lead continuous improvement activity
Requirements
- Previous warehouse logistics experience as a Shift Manager in a large, fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan a warehouse operation.
- Excellent people skills - the ability to effectively lead, develop and manage a team, whilst identifying areas for development and recognising success, particularly from your direct reports.
