About the Role
This role is on the Markets Engineering team within the FX business area, focusing on designing, building, and delivering enterprise-grade AI-driven solutions, including machine learning and generative AI capabilities, to solve business problems and accelerate innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver enterprise-grade AI-driven solutions, including machine learning and generative AI capabilities.
- Translate business needs into practical, scalable, and supportable technology solutions by working closely with Product, Sales, Trading, and Operations stakeholders.
- Apply practical knowledge of modern AI frameworks, tooling, and deployment patterns to support effective delivery.
- Support the delivery of solutions for a growing and strategically important business area, helping to scale capability, accelerate innovation, and enhance business outcomes.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and AI-led development across the engineering team.
- Advance engineering best practices by using AI capabilities to improve productivity, quality, and accelerate delivery.
- Collaborate in small agile teams to elevate technology practices and consistently apply engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience designing, building, and delivering scalable technology solutions in Enterprise environments.
- Experience in machine learning or generative AI use cases, with the ability to apply these technologies to meaningful business problems.
- Strong understanding of how AI can be embedded across the software development lifecycle to improve engineering productivity, accelerate delivery, and enhance solution quality.
- Keen interest in developing and adopting a modern, AI-driven SDLC, including AI-assisted design, development, testing, documentation, and operational support.
- Ability to identify practical opportunities for AI-led automation and continuous improvement across engineering workflows.
- Strong Java and Python development skills in mission-critical application environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
