About the Role
As our Delivery Operations Manager, you will be central to deploying and scaling our Delivery teams. You will synthesize input from various teams to build clear, decision-ready views and recommendations, ensuring the right people are deployed to the right work at the right time. This hands-on role requires strong stakeholder management, operational rigor, and data confidence to manage staffing operations and capacity insight.
Responsibilities
- Synthesize live and forward-looking needs from Delivery/Account teams into clear, decision-ready outputs for leadership.
- Update and maintain resource planning tools with allocation data, project ownership, and allocation types.
- Monitor resource planning tools and proactively resolve issues related to bench levels, utilization, surge, project balance, and demand feasibility.
- Investigate exceptions, providing clear options, trade-offs, and recommended actions for staffing scenarios.
- Serve as the point of contact for Delivery onboarding for new joiners and project transitions.
- Coordinate and maintain Delivery onboarding documentation.
- Propose clearer prioritization principles for when demand exceeds capacity.
- Partner with Talent to translate expected demand into recruitment priorities.
- Improve and automate workflows from onboarding through allocation, rotation, and transition.
Requirements
- 2-3+ years in a demanding, multi-functional environment (e.g., strategic operations, resource management, staffing, workforce planning).
- Comfortable working with CRM, staffing/ERP systems, spreadsheets, or BI tools.
- Ability to work across teams with competing priorities.
- Clear communication skills, both upwards to leadership and across to stakeholders.
- Experience in an enterprise-platform business blending product and services, or in fast-paced consulting or professional services.
- Proven track record of tightening processes and using data to influence decisions.
- People-first, data-fluent approach (approx. 60/40 split).
- Strong negotiation and diplomacy skills, influencing without formal authority.
- Precise and meticulous attention to detail in systems and communication.
- Confident with data analysis and reporting using spreadsheets.
- Ability to turn incomplete or conflicting information into clear choices, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Genuine curiosity about PhysicsX's engineering customers.
- Comfortable navigating organizations with multiple reporting lines and competing agendas.
- Hands-on approach, energized by ambiguity and a fast-changing environment.
