About the Role
You will be part of a highly professional and motivated team that actively shapes the strategic development of the company through acquisitions, investments, and growth initiatives. Together with experts from Finance, Legal, Tax, Controlling, and Accounting, you will work on national and international transactions and the development of future-oriented business models in the media and digital environment.
Responsibilities
- Project management in all phases of an M&A transaction on the buy and sell side, from identifying potential acquisition targets or investors to contract negotiation.
- Conduct financial analyses, company valuations (DCF, Multiples), and support the creation and analysis of business cases.
- Coordinate due diligence reviews and analyze risks and opportunities in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Negotiate transaction-relevant documents such as Term Sheet, SPA, SHA, etc.
- Create presentations and support the preparation of decision proposals and transaction documents.
- Market research and deal sourcing: Research transaction opportunities and analyze market trends.
- Close collaboration with colleagues from other departments (e.g., Legal, Tax, Controlling, Accounting) and portfolio companies.
Requirements
- Successfully completed a business master's degree with a very good grade point average and specializations such as Corporate Finance, Financing, Accounting, Controlling, Auditing, or Banking.
- Several years of professional experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or Auditing.
- High affinity for media and digital business models, especially marketing of journalistic content, retail media, price comparison, affiliate networks.
- Strong communication and social skills.
- Excellent analytical skills, commitment, and excellent commercial understanding.
- Very good knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, M&A-relevant AI applications, and fluent English and German language skills.
