About the Role
As a Kraftwerker:in im Tagesdienst, you will be part of a team responsible for the organization and support of operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generation facilities. You will also manage the operation of heating containers and electrical temporary solutions for mobile heating supply, actively contributing to the energy transition and the replacement of fossil fuels.
Responsibilities
- Technical and organizational support of mobile heating supply systems, including heating boiler containers, trailers, electrical temporary solutions, and emergency power generators, adhering to all safety, health, fire, and environmental regulations.
- Analysis and evaluation of system conditions and operational data, identifying and reporting malfunctions.
- Implementation of immediate measures for troubleshooting, determining causes of damage and malfunctions, and deriving appropriate preventive measures.
- Planning, initiating, monitoring, and documenting maintenance, repair, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordination with internal departments such as purchasing, occupational safety, fleet management, permitting, and project management, as well as direct technical coordination with external project participants and organizations when necessary.
- Supervision and instruction of external companies.
- Conducting system tours and commissioning/decommissioning of systems.
- Performing and monitoring lock-out/tag-out procedures and issuing work permits.
- Unloading and proper handling of chemicals and light heating oil.
- Operation of industrial trucks, cranes, and lifting platforms.
- Assisting the shift team in case of emergencies.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in a metal, mechanical engineering, or electrical trade, or completed training as a power plant operator (training will be provided if needed).
- Professional and operational experience in power plant operations is desirable.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of operating and monitoring process control systems is advantageous.
- High level of teamwork and communication skills, as well as resilience.
- Commitment, sense of responsibility, flexibility, and reliability.
- Analytical and structured thinking.
- Suitability for shift work is desirable (for occasional shift coverage).
- Occasional solo work.
- Fluent German language skills at C1 level are mandatory.
- Willingness to apply even if meeting approximately 70% of the requirements.
