About the Role
As a forward-thinking asset manager, Franklin Templeton builds dynamic relationships with clients, understands their goals, and navigates complex markets together. We are looking for a Relationship Manager to join our Wealth & Retail team in Japan, contributing to the mid- to long-term growth of the company and expansion of our AUM through proposing new investment strategies and sales promotion activities.
Responsibilities
- Propose new investment strategies to distributors and domestic asset managers for individual retail & HNW investors.
- Conduct sales promotion activities to expand and maintain AUM of existing funds.
- Sales of investment trusts to distributors.
- Sales of investment trusts to domestic asset management companies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the financial service industry (asset management firm, securities firm, or bank).
- 3+ years of experience in a sales, marketing or product-related role in the financial service industry.
- Expertise in investment strategies and financial instruments including equities, fixed income and FX.
- Extensive knowledge of investment management business in Japan.
- Knowledge and experience in alternative investments such as hedge funds, private debt, private equity, real estate, etc. preferred.
- Understands the importance of the asset management industry, and takes pride in working in this industry; and strongly agrees to Franklin Templeton’s mission & business strategy.
- Self-starter who is result-oriented and self-motivated.
- Ability to take a logical approach to problem solving, determine appropriate priorities, and lead to solutions.
- Enthusiastic and flexible attitude with experience working on a wide range of fields.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a flexible and proactive approach to resolving conflicts and overcoming problems.
- Ability to prepare internal materials & client presentations, data and reports using Power Point, Excel, and Word.
