About the Role
The BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH is seeking an Electrical Engineering Coordinator for Maintenance / Decentralized Plants in the Work Planning & Coordination department at the Berlin location. This role is crucial for ensuring the compliant, efficient, environmentally sound, safe, and economical planning and control of maintenance activities for power plant and district heating systems. The department focuses on harmonizing and expanding digital solutions as part of digitalization and process optimization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor maintenance activities on electrical systems.
- Coordinate maintenance, inspection, and repair measures with internal departments and external service providers.
- Brief external companies, supervise their activities, and coordinate external personnel deployment.
- Identify and assess hazards and dangerous situations, derive appropriate safety measures, and control risk assessments.
- Ensure high availability and operational safety of electrical systems.
- Support fault analysis, error diagnosis, and sustainable fault elimination.
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and work plans.
- Actively participate in modernization, conversion, and new construction projects for technical systems.
- Participate in the on-call duty roster to ensure reliable plant operation.
Requirements
- Completed master craftsman/technician training, preferably in electrical engineering or mechatronics.
- Applications from industrial electricians, mechatronics technicians, and comparably qualified specialists with electrical training and relevant professional experience are also welcome.
- Willingness to pursue further qualification as a master craftsman or technician while employed is a prerequisite.
- Experience in the maintenance of electrical systems.
- Structured and independent way of working.
- Self-reliant and team-oriented work approach.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and assertiveness skills.
- Enjoyment of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge in the application of MS Office products and SAP is desirable.
- Fluent German language skills at at least C1 level.
- Possession of a Class B driver's license.
- Approximately 70 percent of the requirements are sufficient for application.
