About the Role
Join our social inclusion team as a casual staff member, delivering high-quality educational, wellbeing, and physical activity sessions to young people aged 11-16 in secondary schools, SEND schools, AP settings, and SEMH schools. This role involves working with small groups, providing engaging activities, and supporting young people's development. Full training and ongoing CPD are provided, but experience with young people and in these settings is vital. Hours are flexible during the school week, requiring travel between locations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality education, wellbeing, and physical activity sessions weekly to small groups of young people aged 11-16.
- Confidently handle challenging behavior and report safeguarding disclosures to the Community Project Manager (Young people).
- Deliver engaging and enjoyable sessions that result in positive outcomes for young people.
- Build strong rapport with young people and serve as a trusted adult.
- Be a good team player and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Undertake an enhanced DBS check, complete safeguarding training, and other relevant training.
Requirements
- Experience working with children and/or young people.
- Experience working in schools or youth settings.
- Positive attitude and innovative personality.
- Good maths and literacy skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
