About the Role

Seeking a Senior Investment Analyst or Portfolio Manager to join our Structured Credit team in New York. The role involves evaluating and managing investments in US structured credit across the capital structure, with a preference for candidates experienced in US consumer ABS and non-agency RMBS markets.

Responsibilities

Review documentation and negotiate amendments with the Sell side in consultation with the wider team.
Stay abreast of regulatory requirements for structured products and ensure compliant investments.
Model new securities using internal Portfolio Management systems and other systems.
Utilize Intex for pricing, stress testing, and analysis; build and maintain bespoke Excel models when Intex is unavailable.
Manage and coordinate new issue and secondary orders, including allocations, bookings, and trade inquiries.
Produce daily spread and new issue reports to inform team members of market conditions.
Monitor investment holdings, updating relevant reports and reporting tools.
Respond to internal and external inquiries for focus sectors and managed accounts.
Participate in the design and implementation of presentations and pitches for external clients.
Support other investment opportunities and management activities for the Secured Finance team as required.

Requirements

5+ years of structured finance experience.
Experience at an asset management company or bank preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge across structured credit products and credit skills, ideally with specific expertise in US consumer ABS and US non-agency RMBS sectors.
Strong grasp of legal structures and documentation.
Background in mathematics, finance, or economics ideal.
Strong Excel, Intex, and Bloomberg skills.
Familiarity/skills with VBA, Python, and/or AI-enabled tools are a plus.
Ability to work under tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work constructively in a fast-paced environment with colleagues, clients, and external counterparties.
Ability to articulate views and information clearly both verbally and in writing.
