About the Role
We are seeking fast, creative Digital Matte Painters (DMP) with strong Concept Art skills to join our freelance roster for upcoming short-form commercial projects. This role is ideal for artists who thrive on fast turnarounds and can integrate traditional DMP/concept art techniques with modern generative AI tools.
Responsibilities
- Create high-end visuals under tight commercial deadlines.
- Incorporate GenAI tools into the workflow.
- Seamlessly integrate traditional DMP/concept art techniques with modern generative AI tools.
Requirements
- Expertise in Photoshop.
- Strong background in photo-real matte painting.
- Ability to quickly iterate concept designs.
- Proven experience delivering high-end visuals under tight commercial deadlines.
- Hands-on experience incorporating GenAI tools (ComfyUI, Figma Weave, Krea, or similar) into your workflow.
- Understanding of VFX pipeline colourspace is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of industry-standard applications (Nuke, Houdini, Maya, Unreal Engine, etc.) is an advantage, though not essential.
