About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an early-career accounting or finance professional to advance into corporate treasury. You will support the daily operations of Origin’s treasury activities, ensuring adequate Group funding and gaining exposure to debt portfolios, transactional banking, foreign exchange, interest rates, and capital markets.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Origin’s daily funding position and support cash, foreign exchange, and term-deposit transactions.
- Produce monthly, budget, statutory, and Board reporting on debt, interest, and treasury derivatives.
- Support the management of Origin’s debt portfolio, including covenant reporting, facility documentation, and compliance.
- Maintain transactional banking relationships, bank accounts, guarantees, and AEMO prudential requirements.
- Research funding and hedging opportunities and identify improvements in treasury systems, processes, and reporting.
Requirements
- A degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related discipline.
- Experience in chartered accounting, audit, financial reporting, FP&A, commercial finance, or a similar environment.
- A solid understanding of accounting standards, financial statements, and statutory reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
- Confidence working with data and financial information.
- A genuine interest in developing a career in treasury, funding, debt markets, foreign exchange, and interest rates.
